Alhamdullillah, more and more muslim women are getting active in sports and spending more time taking care of their health. To take care of our bodies, apart from eating good food in moderation, we also need to stay active. A truly health conscious person blends diet, nutrition and exercise with the remembrance of Allah to fulfil all religious obligations.
Our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was an active person and organized horse races. In fact, it was stated in Sahih Bukhari, Book #14, Hadith 2573, that our Prophet Muhammad raced with his wife, Aisha.
As much we are all busy with our family, work and daily chores, we CAN integrate activities that will allow us to stay fit and healthy, InsyaAllah.
